This year, Diwali will be celebrated on October 23, 2014
(Thursday). The time of pradosh kal is considered auspicious muhurat for Diwali
Pujan and the fixed Lagna time is the best in Pradosh Kal. In order to get the
blessings of Maan Lakshmi – the Goddess of wealth, Lakshmi Pujan should be
performed in pradosh kaal of Kartik Krishna Paksha by chanting the following
mantra 108 times:
ॐ श्रीं ह्रीं श्रीं कमले कमलालये प्रसीद, प्रसीद ॐ श्रीं ह्रीं श्रीं महालक्ष्मयै नम:।।
Om Shreem Hreem Shreem Kamale Kamalalaye Praseed
Praseed Om Shreem Hreem Shreem Mahalakshmaye Namah ||
On October 23, 2014, Chitra Nakshatra will rule the day
during pradosh kaal, and the Moon will be transiting in Libra Sign. Pradosh Kal
and fixed Lagna for various places in India will be as follows:

Chandigarh & nearby places: 1853 hrs to 2047 hrs
Hisar & nearby places: 1825 hrs to 2020 hrs
Patna & nearby places: 1831 hrs to 2025 hrs

Mumbai & nearby places: 1934 hrs to 2128 hrs
Bangalore & nearby places: 1926 hrs to 2110 hrs
