Effect of different planets in Fourth House

Planets have different effects in different houses. This effect may be benefic or malefic depending upon their placement in exaltation/ debilitation, Moola- trikona, own house or natural friend’s/ enemy’s house. This effect may be favorable if it is under the influence of natural benefic planets like Jupiter, Mercury, Venus or Moon; or unfavorable, if it is under the influence of  natural malefic planets like Saturn, Rahu, Mars, Sun or Ketu.
Let us start enumerating the effect of different planets in the Fourth House which is primarily considered for mother, heart, immovable properties such as land, house etc., conveyance and general happiness.
The effects of different planets in the Fourth House are as follows:
The natives with favorable Sun in their fourth house are generally kind, sensitive and friendly. They are fond of music.
Afflicted or malefic Sun causes heart problem to the native and trouble to his/her mother. The native is devoid of immovable property and lacks happiness.
The natives with favorable Moon in their fourth house are cheerful, passionate and fond of all fine things in life. They attain high status in society and enjoy the comforts of good house and conveyance.
Afflicted or weak Moon causes trouble to the native’s mother. If in politics, they are unable to get the desired support of the people.
The natives with favorable Mars in their fourth house are generally healthy. The native’s mother is long-lived. If in politics, chances of his/her success are quite good.
Afflicted or malefic Mars indicates sour relations with mother, friends or relatives. The native is unable to enjoy the comforts of conveyances and/or immovable properties. It also causes marital problems due to ‘Kuja Dosha’.
The natives with Mercury in their fourth house are wise, patient and soft-spoken. They are, usually, learned and excel as educationists. They have a taste for all sorts of art forms.
Afflicted Mercury causes loss of conveyance and immovable property. It also creates unpleasantness in relations.
The natives with Jupiter in their fourth house are educated, religious and ambitious. They are fortunate enough to acquire the favor of the ruling class. They enjoy a blissful married life.
In case of afflicted or weak Jupiter, they may suffer from loss of mother. They may also be deprived of land and conveyance.
The natives with Venus in their fourth house are happy, handsome and bestowed with marital bliss. They are fond of music, dance and literature and possess refined manners. They also enjoy good landed property and conveyances.
In case of weak and afflicted Venus, they are, generally, deprived of immovable property and conveyances. The native causes distress to his/her mother.
The natives with strong and beneficially influenced Saturn in their fourth house become popular in society and may hold key position there.
The natives with unfavorable Saturn suffer from windy and phlegmatic complaints. Their domestic life is bitter and unpleasant. They usually suffer on account of their landed property and conveyance. They wish to lead a secluded life.
According to Chamatkar Chintamani, the natives with Rahu in their fourth house will lead a luxurious life, if the fourth house falls in Aries, Cancer or Virgo.
The natives with unfavorable Rahu in their fourth house are, generally, stupid in their behavior. They may be subjected to frauds. Their mother will be sickly.
According to Bhrigu Sutras 9-10, the native with Ketu in his/her fourth house will be wealthy. He/she will marry twice and serve others.
Unfavorable Ketu causes loss of mother, land and happiness.
One thing that the readers of this blog should keep in mind is that the above-mentioned effects are general in nature. It is very important to take into consideration the strength of the house and its lord, location of the lord, the exaltations and debilitations of the house-lords, conjunctions, planets in that particular house and various aspects over it, before arriving at any conclusion.
