Planets have different effects
in different houses. This effect may be benefic or malefic depending
upon their placement in exaltation/
debilitation, Moola- trikona, own house or natural friend’s/ enemy’s house. This
effect may be favorable if it is under the influence of natural benefic
planets like Jupiter, Mercury, Venus or
Moon; or unfavorable, if it is under the influence of natural malefic planets like Saturn, Rahu,
Mars, Sun or Ketu.
Let us start enumerating the effect of different planets
in the Eighth House which is primarily considered for longevity, disgrace and
deprivation of the native and secondarily for legacies, gifts and unearthed
assets.
The effects of different
planets in the Eighth House are as
follows:
SUN:
The natives with exalted Sun in
their eighth house have long life and are eloquent orators with charming
personality. They are likely to have sudden gains due to inheritance or
speculation, if associated with the 8th or 11th lord.
If afflicted or malefic Sun
occupies the eighth house, the native suffers from defective eye-sight, poverty
and unhappy life.
MOON:
The natives with favorable and
strong Moon in their eighth house are generally large-hearted and fun loving
persons.
Afflicted or weak Moon causes weak
constitution and excessive perspiration and subjects the natives to
psychological problems. The native may lose his mother early in his life. He
may also face danger from watery places.
MARS:
The natives with Mars in their eighth
house, only under benefic influences, may rule over many people.
The native may be short-lived
unless there are other supporting factors. Also, afflicted or malefic Mars in
this house causes marital discord or ill-health to spouse or loss of spouse due
to ‘kuja dosha’. The native may have to lead an unhappy and unhealthy life. He
may also suffer from diseases of piles or rheumatism.
MERCURY:
The natives with Mercury in
their eighth house are learned, courteous, wealthy, and respected persons. They
are, usually, successful in legal profession or trade and business. Despite of
their weak constitution, they live long.
Afflicted or unfavorable Mercury
may create problems in inheritance.
JUPITER:
The natives with favorable Jupiter
in their eighth house are generous, learned and long-lived.
The native may develop illicit
relationship with opposite sex, if the Jupiter is badly afflicted. He may also
have difficulty in speech.
VENUS:
According to Saravali and
Chamatkar Chintamani, the natives with Venus in their eighth house are endowed
with all kinds of comforts and lead a very happy life.
In case of weak and afflicted
Venus, the native may become debt-ridden and/or his mother may have to face some
sort of danger.
SATURN:
The natives with favorable Saturn
in their eighth house are long-lived.
The natives with unfavorable
Saturn are ugly, poor and unhappy. They may have defective eyes and may also
suffer from diseases like piles, asthma or lung disorder.
RAHU:
The natives with Rahu in their eighth house are, generally,
quarrelsome and dishonest. They suffer from public humiliation for their
actions. They are also prone to many diseases.
KETU:
The natives with Ketu in their eighth
house and having benefic aspects are, generally, long-lived.
In case of afflicted Ketu, they
may suffer from disorders in the excretory system.
One thing that the readers of this blog should keep in
mind is that the above-mentioned effects are general in nature. It is very
important to take into consideration the strength of the house and its lord,
location of the lord, the exaltations and debilitations of the house-lords,
conjunctions, planets in that particular house and various aspects over it,
before arriving at any conclusion.
